It's Fall Y'all

Fall is on its way!! Once again, we are in the process of renewing all of our paperwork! We are hoping this will be the last time we have to do this. We have to renew our homestudy, fingerprints, and numerous other documents. Of course each time we renew paperwork, we pay additional fees. The paperwork is up for renewal every 18 months. Please pray this will be our last time. As a way to pass the time, I am in the process of becoming a Southern Living @ Home Independent Consultant. I am very excited about the opportunity to stay busy and make some money to help cover some of the numerous fees! Please send me an email if you'd like to host a party to help get me started. What a Wait!!

Well, school begins next week.  Another school year without our little girl.  The wait time for receiving a referral from China has once again increased!!  It now takes 40 months from the time of the Log In Date (LID)!!  I'm sure that the wait will continue to increase.  We're definitely learning patience during this entire process.  It just feels like we've been waiting forever.  Please keep us in your prayers as we continue the wait to bring our daughter home.  We are so blessed to have such wonderful friends and family.  Thanks to all of you for your support!!  We love you all.

Summertime

Summer is finally here!!  The CCAA is still in March 2006 for referrals.  According to our adoption agency, our wait has been extended to 38 months.  What disappointing news for us.  The wait has already been so long, 2 years, 6 months, and 1 week to be exact.  I hope we'll be able to take Mila to the beach next summer.  Until then, we'll continue to pray the wait ends soon.

Still Waiting....

It's almost April, and we're still waiting for a referral.  Our log-in date is currently 27 months.  The current log in date referrals have been waiting 35 months.  The wait time is continuing to get longer and longer.  When we began this process, the wait time was 32 months.  We're doing projects around the house; we're doing our best to save, save, save for our upcoming trip to China.

The fundraiser went very well!  We made over $500 to put toward our adoption expenses!!  We are thankful to everyone for all of their help.  We are blessed to be surrounded by so much love and support.  

Chicken Plate Fundraiser

My friend, Leslie Craft, has put together a small fundraiser for us.  She will be selling chicken plates from Smokehouse on FRIDAY, MARCH 6, 2009.  The cost of the plates are $8.00 each. You get a piece of smoked chicken and a side of potato salad and baked beans.  If your school or work orders plates, you can arrange to have them delivered.  We are so appreciative of everyone's kindness during this long, costly journey.  It has been great having all of you to share this special time in our lives.  THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

LID Update

Well, the CCAA has finally gotten to log in dates for the families logged into China the first of March 2006. Our log in date is November 2006, so we still have a long wait.  It usually takes several months to get through one month of log in dates. Although, we are closer than we were las month. The length of wait time increased to 34 months.  We took two steps forward and one step back.  Our agency is hoping that China will begin to refer children at a faster pace than they currently are.  We're praying things speed up!
